NFT Rarity Explained: Classes, Traits and Genes That Actually Matter

In most collections NFT “rarity” means a rare background color or a hat on a character. The price of such an NFT rests only on someone being willing to pay for it. NFTAMA works differently: a safe's rarity is numbers that affect, every single day, how much AMA2 it brings. Here is what it is made of and how to use it.

In short: in NFTAMA a rare safe weighs 2–3 times more, grows faster and raises the chance to forge Gold. Rarity here is income, not a picture.

What NFT rarity means in regular collections

Rarity is usually counted by traits: the rarer a trait in the collection, the more “valuable” the NFT. Ranking services add these rarities into a score. The problem is that a trait does nothing: a rare hat brings no income, does not grow and opens nothing new. When interest in the collection fades, the price of “rarity” fades with it.

How rarity works for NFTAMA safes

Every safe is an NFT on BNB Smart Chain with an AM weight. Weight is what matters: every day AMA2 is distributed among owners in proportion to the weight of their safes. Rarity changes the weight and how fast and cheaply you can grow it. It has three layers.

1. Class

The class is rolled when you buy a safe from the showcase or mint one:

ClassWeight multiplierLevel capFeature
Regular×110The backbone of the network and cheap material for minting
Silver×1.1–1.315Every level gives more weight
Gold×2–320Every level is 2–3 times stronger, the highest cap

A Gold safe weighs 2–3 times more than a regular one for the same price. And since a level adds 8% of weight times the class multiplier, the gap only grows with every level.

2. Traits: capacity, growth, gene, mint resource

Every paid safe is born with four traits. They are not decorations — they are parameters of the economy:

  • Capacity — the maximum weight of the safe: 4 to 20 base weights depending on the class. It can be expanded.
  • Growth — the percent of its base weight the safe gains every day until it is full: from 0.02% for Regular to 0.12% for Gold.
  • Rarity gene — the percentage points the safe adds to the top-class chance when it takes part in a mint.
  • Mint resource — how many times the safe can take part in creating a new one.
A counter-intuitive rule: the lighter a safe is born within its range, the better its traits. A light safe is a promising one: it grows longer and faster and works better in the forge. So an “unlucky” light safe often turns out to be the most interesting one in a portfolio.

3. Series and collection

Safes come in series with different pictures. Collect different designs of one series, and every safe of that series gets a weight bonus in the distribution: 3 designs — +2%, 5 — +4%, 10 — +7% of the base weight. Here collecting works literally for the first time: a fuller collection means higher income.

How much growth changes the weight

Growth is linear and happens every day until the safe reaches its capacity:

Growth a dayIn a yearIn 3 years
0.02%×1.07×1.22
0.04%×1.15×1.44
0.06%×1.22×1.66
0.12% (Gold)×1.44×2.31

A 35 AM Regular safe growing 0.04% weighs about 50 AM after three years — without any extra spending. A Gold safe more than doubles over the same time.

How to value a rare safe when buying from a player

On the internal market you can buy someone else's safe or offer your own price. Compare:

  1. Price per 1 AM — the safe price divided by its weight — with the price of 1 AM of a new showcase safe.
  2. Growth and room up to capacity — that is future free weight. The “Growing” filter and the “Growth” sort in search help find such safes.
  3. Class and level — the level price grows slower than the weight (four times heavier — twice as dear), and Silver and Gold get more weight from a level and have a higher level cap.
  4. How many mints the safe has done — each mint lowers its forge “freshness” by 15%.

Traits, expansions and growth from keys belong to the safe itself and go to the buyer with it.

Where to start

The simplest entry is a showcase safe in the first minutes of its life: weight is the cheapest then, the class is rolled at random, and your first safe gets ×1.5 weight. Another free way to test your luck is the safe of luck, which you can open once an hour: it holds modifier keys, demo safes and coupons for +15% weight on your next safe.

Try it in 2 minutes, for free

  1. Sign up — login, e-mail and password; no documents, no wallet.
  2. Confirm your e-mail — and get a demo safe that starts earning AMA2 right away.
  3. Open the safe of luck — once an hour: keys, coupons, demo safes and a little AMA2.

When you want a real NFT safe: with AMA2 around $0.004, a showcase safe for 400–500 AMA2 costs roughly $2 — less than a cup of coffee. Your first safe gets ×1.5 weight forever.

Promo code WELCOME2026 gives +15 AMA2 to start. Enter it when you sign up.
