Minting as a Strategy: How to Forge a Gold Safe

In most NFT projects, minting means buying a pig in a poke at a fixed price. In NFTAMA, minting works like a forge: you put two or more of your safes into it and get a new eternal safe. The original safes stay yours, and the result depends on exactly what you put in. The right recipe raises the chance of a Gold safe from 4% to 67%.

In short: the best recipe is 2 Gold + 1 Silver, with about a 67% chance of Gold. Forge with fresh, heavy safes; the original safes stay with you.

How the forge works

  1. Pick at least two of your safes on the mint page.
  2. The forge shows its luck, the chance of each class and the weight range of the new safe.
  3. Confirm — AMA2 and a little BNB for gas are charged, and a new NFT with a random class and picture is born.

The original safes do not disappear: only their mint counter goes up. Every safe has a limited mint resource (Regular 2–4, Silver 3–5, Gold 4–6); levels 5 and 10 add one slot each.

How much minting costs

The price is tied to the start price of a new safe in the current epoch: a mint of two safes costs 30% of it, and each additional safe in the forge adds another half of that. For an epoch with a start price of 510 AMA2: two safes cost 153 AMA2, three cost 229.5, four cost 306. If the parents are heavier than the epoch's start weight, the price grows with the weight they pass on. Your account level gives a 1.5% discount per level, up to 30%.

What the chance of Gold depends on

Every safe adds its own contribution to the “forge luck”:

contribution = rarity × √power × (1 − 0.15 · mints)

  • Rarity: Regular — 1, Silver — 1.2, Gold — 2.5.
  • Power: the safe's weight relative to the epoch's start weight (from 0.25 to 2).
  • Freshness: every past mint lowers the contribution by 15%.

Two fresh Regular safes with the start weight give a luck of 1 — the same odds as a normal purchase. The higher the luck, the faster the chances of the rarest classes grow. On top of that come the parents' rarity genes: two average Regular safes raise Gold from about 4% to 9%.

* AMA2 for an epoch with a start price of 510 AMA2 and a start weight of 35 AM, without the level discount and without genes. The forge panel shows the live odds for your own safes.

Note: two Gold and one Silver give a better chance of Gold than three Gold. An alloy of different classes beats a monolith.

What the new safe gets

  • Inherited weight: the new safe gets 8–22% of the parents' total weight (each parent counts as at most four epoch start weights, and 15% less for every past mint). Heavy fresh safes forge heavy ones.
  • Its own traits: the lighter its weight within its range, the better its capacity, growth, gene and mint resource; 20% of capacity and growth comes from the parents.
  • Level 0, 0 mints — the new safe can be upgraded, modified and sent to the forge right away.

Common mistakes

  • Forging with light safes. Ten 5 AM safes cost as much as ten heavy ones and give almost nothing.
  • Using “tired” safes. Every mint takes 15% off both luck and the weight passed on.
  • Putting in more than five safes. Overheating starts with the sixth.

A beginner's path to the first mint

  1. Your first safe from the showcase in the first minutes of its life (×1.5 weight).
  2. A second safe — from the showcase, the player market or an auto-buy rule while you are busy with other things.
  3. A mint of two fresh safes: both stay yours, and the new third one adds weight to your portfolio and a chance of a rare class.

Where to start

Minting needs at least two paid safes. Showcase safes are the best deal in the first minutes of their life — and your first one gets ×1.5 weight. Once an hour, the safe of luck can give you a −20% discount coupon or +15% weight for your next safe.

Try it in 2 minutes, for free

  1. Sign up — login, e-mail and password; no documents, no wallet.
  2. Confirm your e-mail — and get a demo safe that starts earning AMA2 right away.
  3. Open the safe of luck — once an hour: keys, coupons, demo safes and a little AMA2.

When you want a real NFT safe: with AMA2 around $0.004, a showcase safe for 400–500 AMA2 costs roughly $2 — less than a cup of coffee. Your first safe gets ×1.5 weight forever.
